The Creation of Reminisce - Lil Pabs

Reminisce is inspired by the popular hanging microphone performance videos that have spread across the music industry in recent years. This style is praised for its simplicity and mobility from location to location.
PRODUCTION
My version of the hanging microphone freestyle is an integration of compositions in a 16:9 format that can also be converted to 9:16. This allows for Reminisce to be digitally versatile between all media platforms. The video was filmed on a snowy night in the heart of downtown Annapolis.
LIGHTING
In order to light the scene I used a LED ring light paired with a red sheet of packing paper taped to the front of the light. This not only protected the light from water damage but also gave it a reddish pink glow which was a desired element of the overall lighting. I also used a second LED that was attacheddirectly to the camera putting out a white light onto the subjects face.
PRESENTATION
In order to roll out the video and the song, I custom made the single cover for reminisce as-well as the thumbnail for both the audio track and the music video on youtube. I chose to do a reddish pink design for the text and border to closely resemble the light that was used on set. The photo used for the single cover is also a screenshot of a frame from the final music video.
